Shipment Data Management Platform
This is a transformative solution for challenges in the road logistics domain. In a sector where 95% of shipments rely on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), the platform eliminates errors and the need for manual interventions. Additionally, it establishes a separate allocation procedure based on the shipment category (FTL, LTL, Dangerous Goods, Special Care, etc.), thereby streamlining the downstream process. Developed in collaboration with IT, EDI integration teams, and Logistics Business Units, the platform automates the verification and correction of incoming EDIs through a rule engine which operates on predefined rules which are specifically developed and tested in collaboration with the Business Units.
The impact is profound: manual corrections were greatly reduced, accelerating shipment processing and saving valuable time. Exceeding expectations, the platform processed almost 300,000 EDIs within the first three months, and is now operational across all 16 locations at Kuehne + Nagel in Germany, and has been further incorporated to 5 additional locations in Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Ireland.
Digital Container Marketplace Platform
B2B e-commerce digital container marketplace platform on which traders, carriers, freight forwarders, and industrial firms can buy and sell shipping containers from any location in the world. Users may register as both Buyers and Sellers. The marketplace is equipped with an intuitive user interface which enables users to manage their inventory, create listings, negotiate, manage orders, and carry out transactions on the platform.
LOTUS Containers Cloud CRM System
The new Cloud CRM System has digitalized the Sales business process within LOTUS Containers and has substantially improved the productivity of the Sales department. Sales Managers use the CRM system to communicate internally and externally, store customer data, log daily tasks, and to create and forward documents such as quotations, sales orders, term sheets, lease agreements, transportation requests, etc. The Sales Cloud has also been modified to include custom functionalities such as setting and managing monthly and yearly sales targets, approval processes, and push notifications. The reports and dashboards in the CRM system provides real-time information of the sales department to the management and heads of verticals within the organization.
LOTUS Containers Project Calculator
The new Project Calculator Web application is extensively used by Sales Managers at LOTUS Containers to demonstrate the difference in the project costs to the customers when they are opting for Shippers’ Owned Containers (SOC) vs. Carrier Owned Containers (COC) for their projects. Alternatively, the application also enables shippers to create a personal profile after which they may login and analyze their project costs independently.
